TRADE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND RETURN
Trader Credit Application Should you wish to open a trade account with Juta and Company, please print and complete the Credit Application form attached and return to us.
Trade Discount Trade discount varies and is reserved for stockholding booksellers only, particularly those who stock, display and promote Juta publications.

Trade Returns We consider only written applications for permission to return and exchange publication. Please address your correspondence to: The Returns Administrator P O Box 24309 Lansdowne 7779. Tel: +27 21 763 3500 Fax: +27 21 761 6267 E-mail: academic@juta.co.za
- If we grant permission, our Returns Administrator will send you an official Returns Authorisation. When you receive this, you may return the publications.
- Return Authorisations will remain valid for only 30 days from date of issue.
- We will only consider applications to return publications bought in the 12 months preceding the date of invoice.
- If the return is not due to our error, please prepay carriage for all returns. If the return is due to our error, we will arrange return at our expense through a carrier of our choice.
- We will levy a 10% surcharge of the credit value to cover handling costs. This will not apply when we issue a withdrawal notification. It will also not apply for exchange of goods receive in an unsaleable condition or if the wrong goods were supplied.
Credit for short delivery of stock
- Any short delivery of stock should be brought to the attention of our Customer Service Department within 48 hours of receipt. Failure to do so will result in a credit not being passed.
Special requests We understand that you may on occasion require an order very urgently. Unfortunately any overnight freighting will be for your account. We do make use of a freight company that offers a 3 - 5 day economy service which we offer our customers at our expense. We realise that it may occasionally be necessary to provide proof of delivery. However, it is time consuming and expensive. We therefore ask you to make certain of our carrier's failure to deliver an order before asking for proof of delivery.
